Get to know me

A. Gardner grew up in the Rockies where she developed a love for storytelling that began at an early age. She completed her first manuscript in 2010 and has since written over a dozen more. In 2014, she sold the first book in the Poppy Peters mystery series to Gemma Halliday Publishing. Gardner’s debut cozy mystery, SOUTHERN PEACH PIE & A DEAD GUY, was released in March 2015.

In July 2016, Poppy Peters made the USA Today Bestseller list.

Now, A. Gardner is thrilled and grateful to call herself a full-time author. She has released several more cozy mysteries for her readers to enjoy including the Bison Creek mystery series and the upcoming Southern Psychic Sisters series. She holds an MBA from Colorado State University and hopes to continue making her love of writing a healthy business. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys trying out new recipes, cooking for family and friends, and peaceful mountain hikes. After years spent living in eastern Alabama, she made the trek back west again and currently resides in Utah with her husband and two children.

FAQ

Are you self-published or traditionally published?

Both. I have a series out with a small press as well as books that I’ve published independently.

Have you made all of the recipes in your books?

Yes! Some have turned out better than others, but I spend a great deal of time ‘working’ in the kitchen. My family doesn’t mind it though.

Are your books available in print?

Yes, print copies of my books can be found online through several major retailers.

What are you working on?

I’m currently working on a new series called the Southern Psychic Sisters mysteries. I also plan on releasing another Bison Creek mystery in the near future.

Do you ever do book signings?

I currently do not have anything scheduled, but when I do I’ll post that information on my News page.

What does the ‘A’ stand for?

Before releasing my very first cozy mystery in 2015, I decided to take on a pen name. ‘A‘ is my middle initial.
