A. Gardner grew up in the Rockies where she developed a love for storytelling. She completed her first manuscript in 2010 and has since written over a dozen more. In 2014, she sold the first book in the Poppy Peters mystery series to Gemma Halliday Publishing. Gardner’s debut cozy mystery, SOUTHERN PEACH PIE & A DEAD GUY, was released in March 2015. In July 2016, Poppy Peters made the USA Today Bestseller list.
Since then, she has released several more cozy mysteries for her readers to enjoy including the Bison Creek mystery series and the Southern Psychic Sisters series. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys trying out new recipes, cooking for family and friends, and peaceful mountain hikes. After years spent living in eastern Alabama, she made the trek back west again and currently resides in Utah with her husband and two children.

Are you self-published or traditionally published?
I used to have a series out with a small press but now all my books are independently published.
Have you made all of the recipes in your books?
Yes! Some have turned out better than others, but I spend a great deal of time ‘working’ in the kitchen. My family doesn’t mind it though.

I’m currently working on a new book in the Southern Psychic Sisters series.

Before releasing my very first cozy mystery in 2015, I decided to take on a pen name. A is my middle initial.
